Our Vision

Beacon Light’s first mission is to bring children to know the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that education is about educating the whole child.

Education is not what most knows it to be. It is not solemnly about academic. Instead, education is about teaching children to realize that they are spirituals beings and they are to grow in knowing Him.

Education is also about training the children’s character; their emotions, self control and discipline.

Education is discovering the talents and gifts God has given to each child and developing them. It also includes in developing life skills.

Finally, education is about developing children to think critically.

Knowing God - Has to be First and Foremost in a Child’s Life

The Bible says that ‘the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life’ John 6:63b.

The Bible is God’s Word, and God’s Word is life. It stands to reason that every child is to be educated in knowing the Word of God. In so doing, he will gain wisdom and understanding that will guard him for the rest of his life.

‘This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.’ Josh 1:8.

‘But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.’ John 1:12.

‘It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline. (Heb 12:7)

From a young age, character training needs to be adapted into the child’s life. It helps a child develop his self-control and discipline, fulfilling and living up the Biblical principles.

  • The program teaches the 60 character traits. These character traits are demonstrated in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each PACE explains and focuses on one character trait.

  • The learning procedures provide daily application of these character traits.

In order to teach character effectively, the Bible states the necessity of discipline because ‘He who withholds his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.’ (Proverbs 13:24).

Beacon Light applies the teaching of Growing Kids God’s Way by Gary Ezzo in our approach to discipline.

With the combination of activities from Boys’ Brigade, the learning procedure and the practical knowledge of Growing Kids God’s Way, Beacon Light has effectively achieved higher discipline and self control in the students’ lives. In so doing, students are more effective in their academic studies and in their life skill developments.

who withholds his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.’ (Proverbs 13:24).

Education is about Character Training
Partnering with parents to build lives

To help build a child’s character effectively, partnerships with parents is not an option, but a basic requirement.

Partnerships between parents and the school will build strong characters in the child’s life.

And so for Beacon Light, parents are encouraged to be involved in the lives of their children.
